What customers say?

“ In a place filled with history you can find La Louye su la Goumba. Next to impressive ruins of 19th century houses, the lovely owners have renovated this house to have a small restaurant/bar and 2 very charming, comfortable and spacious rooms. On top of the amazing views, the ideal location for hikes and the good food and drinks (both at breakfast and dinner), you just feel very welcomed by the gentle people. We only stayed 3 nights, but will remember this stay for a long time. ”

“ An exceptional location, in the heart of the Alps. The room was spacious and well-appointed, the food very good, and the owners very friendly. We stopped here for a short break on our way to vacation, but we'll be back for a longer stay. ”

“ This small B&B exceeded all our expectations! The room was impeccably clean, recently renovated, and simply BEAUTIFUL! After a 7-day hike through the Aosta Valley, the bed here was by far the comfiest we experienced. The ambiance was delightful, and despite the language barrier, the hosts Lucia and her husband went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for. Their responsiveness both through email and in person was outstanding. The dinner they served was absolutely delicious, featuring uncomplicated yet incredibly well-made dishes using the freshest local ingredients. The quality-to-price ratio is unbeatable, even for the area. We cannot recommend this place enough - it's simply fantastic! A gem of a find that made our stay truly memorable! ”

“ A delicious lunch with a wealth of variety and unique dishes. After delicious appetizers, such as the tartare and the platter, we were served a very special blueberry risotto. The main courses, including braised beef and potatoes and veal stew with polenta concia, were excellent. It all ended with homemade desserts. I also recommend this place for its breathtaking view of the landscape. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can also take hiking trails and stay overnight. ”

“ This was hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Bruno and Lucia are a wonderful team and my wife and I were so happy to have met them. This is a small restaurant with 4-5 tables so best to call ahead. The view from the balcony is incredible. It overlooks the valley and sunset turns the sky pink. We had one of everything on the menu and left so full we could barely walk—in the best way. Antipasto dishes of charcuterie, fresh ricotta and a zucchini-lemon purée, baked chestnuts with churned butter. Fresh pasta with thyme butter, and a rolled crepe with ham and bechemel. For the main course, rabbit from their farm with green beans. Desert of a fresh Panna cotta with strawberry preserves. Absolutely stunning with every plate. If you are anywhere near this area, seek it out. If you like fresh, rustic food, this will blow your mind. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Grazie mille Bruno and Lucia!! See you again soon I hope. ”
